Brett Matthew Prescott was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He left this world suddenly on March 23, 2022.
He was born in Longview, Texas on March 25, 1988. He was raised by his father and mother, Phillip and Heather Prescott of Big Sandy, along with his siblings Michael, Ashley and Makaia.
Matthew married his love Jesse Andrews before going to serve our country in the Texas National Guard in Iraq. Matthew and Jesse have three beautiful children: Brett, Seeley, and Evie.
Matthew grew up with a love of critters. He would bring home bugs, snakes, and turtles. Family in Georgia gave him the nickname "Bug Man". He carried his love of all kinds of animals into his adult life and had a menagerie of pets. He loved to fish. If there was water near him and he had fishing gear, he had a line in the water. His happy place. Matthew gave his love and smile without reservation to his family and friends with his kisses and hugs. He always gave the best hugs and said "I love you".
Family who are mourning his loss but celebrating his life are Phillip & Heather Prescott, Nadine Prescott, Doug & Pat Stegall, Tim & Lori Andrews, Michael & Jessica Prescott, Ashley & Stephen Foster, Makaia & Toby Hill, Amy & Greg Brown, Daniel & Adri Andrews, Audra & Collin Ferrell, Pamela Warnick, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Matthew was met in heaven by grandparents, family and friends.
"God of mercy and love, do what only You can do and make all things new."
