Brett Zabrocki, 42, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 16, 2025, when his heart unexpectedly gave out. Born on January 18, 1983, in Miles City, Montana, Brett's life carried him across Montana and beyond-through Minnesota, Kansas, California, Washington and most recently Kalispell-each place marked by the people he helped, the work he crafted, and the love he left behind.

From a young age, Brett distinguished himself through hard work, natural talent, and determination. He was an all-star baseball player and a skilled high-school hockey player, remembered for his work ethic, teamwork, and grit. That same spirit guided him throughout his life.

Brett built a career shaped by craftsmanship and creativity. As a carpenter, cabinet maker, and cabinet designer, he was known for precision, artistry, and pride in his work. He loved creating new things-always thoughtful, always inventive-and he had an uncanny ability to know the best way to approach any job.

Above all, Brett loved his family. Time with them was what he valued most. He led with his heart and sought peace in every part of his life. Known for his calm presence, he was the peacemaker wherever he went. His loyalty and quiet kindness touched everyone who knew him. His dogs also held a special place in his heart; from early childhood onward, he was accompanied by his terriers-Rusty, Zee, and later Ziggy-each one a constant and cherished companion.

Brett is survived by his father, Mark, and stepmother, Jean Zabrocki; his mother, Colleen (Deines), and stepfather, Jack Weatherford; his brother, Brian, and sister-in-law, Jessica Zabrocki; his stepsister, Lauren, and brother-in-law, Jeremy Gilbreath; his two nieces and one nephew; and his stepbrother, Jack Weatherford and his finance, Skye Dickerson. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and will forever feel the impact of his life.

A funeral service for Brett will be held at Silha Funeral Homes in Glendive, Montana, on Saturday, November 29th, at 2:00 p.m with Rev. Tim Tharp officitating. Burial will follow at Dawson Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life lived with kindness, craftsmanship, and devotion to those he loved.

Brett lived with humility, worked with purpose, and loved without conditions. His legacy endures in the lives he touched and in the beauty he built.
