Brian Laine Barth

MUNCIE - Brian Laine Barth, 65, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Muncie, Indiana.

He was born on February 10, 1961, Brian was a lifelong resident of Muncie and a proud graduate of South Side High School, Class of 1979. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for four years.

Brian had a deep love for gardening and was known for his green thumb. His talent with plants was unmatched, and he generously shared both advice and homegrown tomatoes with friends and family. Music was another passion-he played guitar and once served as the lead singer in a local band, bringing classic rock to life with his voice and energy.

He found joy in simple pleasures: watching the Weather Channel, caring for his beloved cats, and staying connected with loved ones. He often alerted family members of approaching storms, blending his fascination with weather and his protective nature. Brian was a devoted son who always ensured his mother's well-being.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jo Ellen and Eddie Glaze of Muncie; his sister, Kellie (Tim) of Zebulon, North Carolina; his life partner of 34 years, Danny Johnson of Muncie; and many cousins, nephews and nieces who will miss him dearly. Brian also leaves behind his beloved lifelong friends, Rose Robbins and Penny Perkins.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Larry Barth of Wheeling, Indiana; his grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on 2:00 p.m. on Thursday February 19, 2026 at East 16th Street Church of God, 2605 E. 16th Street, Muncie, with the Rev. Doug Lucy officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
