Brian Bloodgood

Shandaken- Brian A. Bloodgood, 45 of Rt. 42 died suddenly Saturday Feb. 23, 2013 at his residence. He was a native and life long resident of the Catskill Mountains. He was born March 29, 1967 in Stamford son of Kenneth and Alida Cartwright Bloodgood. Brian was a graduate of Hunter-Tannersville HS and UCCC having studied draft & design. He has been an inspector with the NYC DEP for 20 years. Brian was a heavy equipment operator, and was a big help to his friends and neighbors . He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed woodworking. He had building and landscaping skills which always kept him busy. He has been described as a 'dedicated hardworking father'. Surviving, in addition to his parents of Westkill, are his daughter Jamie Bloodgood, and his former wife Linda Bloodgood. He was predeceased by his brother Billy Bloodgood . A Service to Celebrate the Life of Brian will be held on Friday at 11am at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia with the Decon Hank Smith. Burial will be in the family plot at the Westkill Cemetery. Friends will gather to honor and remember on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home.
