Brian Boyle, age 67, of Orland Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.
Brian was the kind of man you could not help but love. Known by many nicknames including "Skinnyman" and "Cowboy," he was the goofy guy in the room, the one cracking jokes, easing tension, and making people feel comfortable just by being himself. He never took life too seriously, but he took the people he loved very seriously. His family always came first, and there truly was not a bad bone in his body.
Brian spent his career as a truck driver, logging countless miles and stories along the way. Earlier in life, he worked with his mom and siblings at The Martinique Restaurant and Drury Lane Theatre, where he formed lifelong friendships and perfected the shenanigans as a valet. Wherever Brian was, he left people laughing.
He was a proud and devoted father to Kelly (Kevin) Cook and Danny (Kari) Boyle, and an incredibly loving grandfather to Jacob, Jamie, and Josie, who brought him endless joy. He was also the legendary "Funcle" to his nieces and nephews, famously dressing up as Santa Claus to keep the magic alive.
Brian loved music, especially the CDs his daughter burned for him, and he was a true "MacGyver" handyman who could fix just about anything with creativity and determination. He enjoyed golf, racquetball, horseshoes, and coaching his children's baseball and softball teams. His backyard pool became the unofficial family headquarters, where parties, laughter, and memories were always in abundance.
He shared many happy years with his girlfriend, JoAnne McIntyre, and remained close with lifelong friends who were more like family.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Boyle, one of his greatest supporters and best friends.
He is survived by his children, Kelly (Kevin) Cook and Danny (Kari) Boyle; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jamie, and Josie; his girlfriend, JoAnne McIntyre; his siblings, Terry Boyle, Bobbi (Tim) Taylor, and Billy Boyle; the mother of his children, Carol Milenkoff; his cousins, Gary (Dee) Ferguson and Gail (Charlie) Schwab; and many extended family members and dear friends.
A visitation will be held Sunday at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena, Illinois 19604 Wolf Rd, Mokena, IL 60448.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in Brian's honor here.
Brian will be remembered for his big heart, his endless jokes, and the way he could make any situation better just by showing up. If laughter truly is the best medicine, Brian gave a lifetime supply to everyone lucky enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
