Nicholas Srsnick, 64, of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away on February 6, 2026.
Nicholas was born in Ottawa, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Josephine Srsnick. He was raised in the Mokena area and remained a resident until he moved to Indiana in 2000, where he was known for his strong faith, dedication to family, and appreciation for community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Srsnick.
Surviving are his sisters, Debra (Eric) Karlsson and Allanna Sell; his nieces and nephews, Erik (Morgan) Karlsson, Jessica (Joey) Oberts, and Garrett Karlsson; and his grandnieces and grandnephew, Jordan and Josi.
Nicholas spent his working years pinstriping and detailing automobiles, a craft in which he took great pride. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail and love of cars. He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan and a faithful Catholic who held his church and beliefs close. Nicholas enjoyed being with people, spending time outdoors in nature, and cherished the companionship of his cats.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery-Mokena.
