Brian Kenneth Carr, Jr., affectionately known as "BJ," passed away on September 18, 2025, in Chillicothe, Ohio, at the age of 41. Born on February 17, 1984, in Columbus, Ohio, Brian was a true jack of all trades and a talented contractor. He was known for his incredible ability to connect with people and make every gathering special with his humor and outgoing personality. Brian loved sharing cheesy dad jokes and was often the life of the party.

Brian had a big heart and was fiercely protective of his family and children. He spent his time creating cherished memories with loved ones, particularly those spent fishing, drawing, painting, and working on cars with his kids. He found joy in nature and loved camping, making every moment spent with family one that would last a lifetime.

Brian is survived by his son, Gavin Carr, and his grandchildren, Veronica and Isadora Carr. He is also survived by his father, Brian Carr, Sr. (LeeAnn); mother, Charlotte Wilson; step-mother, Vanessa Carr; sisters, Jodie Carr, Chelsea (Andy Weaver) Carr, and Briana (Bryan Sagle) Carr; grandmother, Mona Carr; uncle, Sean Carr; aunt, Nikki (Brian) Bainbridge; soulmate and best friend, Marcella Sanders; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He joins in death his grandparents, Ansel and Becky Skaggs; grandfather, Jerry Carr; step-father, Steve Wilson; nephew, Kyndric Carr; uncles, Mark Rose and Andy Skaggs; and best friends, Brian Justice and Nic Sagle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Brian will be remembered for the love he shared, the laughter he spread, and the immense pride he took in his boys. His legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with family and friends.
