Brian Kim Chia (1963–2026)

Brian Kim Chia, formerly of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away February 17, 2026, in Brandon, Florida at age 63, following a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend.

Born in Malaysia, Brian came to the United States to pursue his education, earning a B.A. from SUNY Albany and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University. He built a respected career in telecommunications, including his work with Verizon Business, where he was known for his clarity, insight, and integrity.

Brian was a man of strong faith, a committed follower of Jesus Christ. He was an active member of Cascades Bible Church in Virginia and Grace Bible Church of Tampa where he was known for his conviction, sharp thinking, and unmistakable humor.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores ("Del"); daughters Caitlin and Lauren; sisters Peggy, Paula, and Cindy; brother Ron; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter Erin.

A celebration of life will be held April 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Bible Church of Tampa, 10309 Raulerson Ranch Rd., Tampa, FL 33637.
