Brian's home was Traverse City, but he spent four years at Central Michigan University and was proud to be member of the Marching Chips.
Computers became a major focus of his life; he began a career with InfoGeographics and made friends whenever gaming called. Beyond the computer, he loved the outdoors, hiking, traveling, reading and spending time with his close friends and loved ones.
Born on Dec. 8, 1982, Brian is survived by his beloved Laura Engler; his parents, Jim and Ann Cooper; his brother, Richard; his uncle and aunt, Tomm and Barb Cooper; his uncle and aunt, George and Chris Cooper; his uncle and aunt, Robert and Janet Mittendorf; and his well-loved cousins, Laura Zerbe, Erin Mittendorf and Sarah Marino.
He wasn't able to accomplish all his goals in life, but he was a man we are proud to have known.
A private family remembrance will be arranged.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell Funeral Home, Traverse City.

Ann and family,
We are sorry to hear of the passing of Brian. A lose so early in life is always difficult with thoughts of what could have been; but we are consoled by what was and the good memories of our time together. May God bless and sustain you through this time.
