Brian T. Cushnyr "Kelly", 72, of Burton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at home with loved ones by his side from heart complications. He was born on August 21, 1952, in Cleveland, OH, to parents Cornelius and Shirley (Bihlajama) Cushnyr and graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland, OH, class of 1970. Brian was employed by Coe Manufacturing and spent his entire career with them prior to retiring. He loved listening to classic rock, especially Pink Floyd, being outdoors, fishing with his second wife, Nola, and after retiring he started kayaking. Brian appreciated spending time and being around his many friends and family, he had a phenomenal sense of humor always making people laugh. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Sean) Niksick; grandchildren, Andrew Parker, Douglas Niksick, Alaina McNeill, all of Hambden, OH; and brother, Brad (Karen) Cushnyr of Albuquerque, New Mexico; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Brian was preceded in death by his wife, Nola Popik; parents, Cornelius and Shirley Cushnry; son, Brian D. Cushnyr; son in law, Louis Niksick; sister, Cynthia Cannizzaro. Private family services were held; a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
