Brian Desmarais Obituary
Brian M. Desmarais, 60, of Cumberland passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Hope Health in Providence, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the husband of Tracy R. Desmarais.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Leo W. Desmarais and the late Francesca (Alves) Gallegos.
Mr. Desmarais was employed in the Department of Public Safety at Bryant University for 31 years.
Brian was a dedicated and passionate New England sports fan. He also enjoyed his dog, "Little Guy," and spending time with family and friends. In addition, he looked forward to spending time with Tracy on Friday nights at her bowling league.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his brother, Anthony Desmarais and his wife, Donna, of North Smithfield; his brother-in-law, Michael Larosee and his wife, Kerri, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his uncle, Daniel J. Alves and his companion, Patricia Williamson, of Cumberland; and his uncle, John Alves and his wife, Barbara, of Pawtucket. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Brian's Life Celebration to be held with visitation on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 9 AM to 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 88540, Carol Stream, IL 60188, or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
