Brian W. Friedman

BRIAN W. FRIEDMAN – of Lexington, passed away suddenly on December 6th at the age of seven. Brian was the beloved son of Zachary D. Friedman of Lexington and Allison T. Cobb of Arlington, who cherished him beyond measure. He was the treasured grandson of Bill and Wendy Friedman of Lexington, and Brian and Denise Cobb of Centerville, and the loving nephew of Jacob Friedman of Charlestown and Margaret Cobb of Quincy. Brian's bright spirit touched everyone who knew him, and he leaves behind many devoted friends and extended family members who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A bright, joyful and funny boy, Brian brought light into every space he entered. He loved Mickey Mouse, Elmo and music from his earliest days. He was a wizard with his iPad, scrolling to his favorite part of every song, show, or story within seconds. Brian loved to run, keeping everyone on their toes as he often sprinted away with a mischievous grin. Brian's happiest moments were those spent with his family-laughing at the playground, soaring on a swing, splashing in the ocean and cuddling with his dog, Mookie.

Burial will be private. A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 11am at the Winchester Unitarian Society, 478 Main Street, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a fund in Brian's memory-hoping to create a playground or similar tribute that reflects the joy, energy, and playful spirit that defined him.
