Brian Frisbie
August 31, 1968 - August 20, 2025
Brian Frisbie, age 56, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Marshalltown, the result of an automobile accident.
Brian was born August 31, 1968, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Russell and Miora (Bell) Frisbie. He graduated from Muscatine High School and the University of Northern Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in finance. Brian served in the United States Army during Desert Storm, then in the Iowa National Guard in the 133rd Infantry Battalion, 105th Troop Command, 224th Combat Engineer Battalion and 185th Regional Training Institute before his discharge as Headquarters Company Commander. Brian married Holly Rudabeck in 1998 in Traer, Iowa. They later divorced. On September 21, 2024, he married Beverly West in Cedar Falls. Brian was a self-employed spray foam insulator in Muscatine. He was a member of Kubik-Finch American Legion Post #142 in Traer and enjoyed working on classic cars, attending car shows, riding horses, helping others and, most importantly, his family.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Muscatine; three children, Zachary Briles of Muscatine, Hally Frisbie of Buckingham and Michael Frisbie of Buckingham; stepdaughter, Victoria (Andrew) Anderson of Des Moines; three step-grandchildren, Elijah, Alexander and Nicolas Anderson; mother, Miora Carrott of Dysart; stepmother, Kathie Frisbie of Fruitland; siblings, Debbie Yerington of Muscatine, Kevin (Rachelle Daley) Frisbie of Richland, Steve (Melanie) Frisbie of Eldon, Missouri, Brad (Jackie) Frisbie of LaPorte City and Darla (Mike) Johnson of Urich, Missouri; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brothers, Don and Ron Frisbie and brother-in-law, Carl Yerington.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona, with Pastor Jeff Ream officiating. Burial will be held at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the funeral home.
