Brian Edward Gardner

Brian Edward Gardner, 64, of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on October 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Harvey, Illinois, Brian moved with his family to Memphis at the age of two. He graduated from Wooddale High School in 1979 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Communication Leadership from the University of Memphis.

Brian dedicated 42 years to FedEx, building a remarkable career in Aircraft Avionics. Beyond his professional achievements, he gave generously of his time, volunteering for 25 years at the FedEx St. Jude’s Championship Golf Tournament in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital-a cause close to his heart.

Brian shared nearly 38 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Cheryl Gardner. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a proud father to Benjamin Gardner and James Creary, and a devoted grandfather to Landon Creary, all of whom brought him endless joy and love.

He is survived by his brother, Brad Gardner (Charlotte); sister, Bonnie; sister-in-law, Deborah Weber Craig (Scott); mother-in-law, Kathy Weber; Aunt Judy Cherry; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Les Gardner and Carol Smith, and his Aunt Donna Schenebeck.

Brian's faith was the foundation of his life. He loved Jesus deeply, and found peace and happiness in the great outdoors-whether fishing, deer hunting, or sitting by a bonfire listening to his favorite music surrounded by family and friends. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, strength, and generous spirit. His quick wit, infectious smile, and joyful laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Brian was a true warrior throughout his recent fight against Cancer

His memorial service will be Friday, November 14th at Central Church in Collierville, Tennessee 1

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Brian's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
