Brian lived a full life. He worked for over 35 years as an Ironworker (Ironworker's Local 340, Battle Creek, Michigan) retiring as an apprenticeship instructor. He was a Master Mason for over 40 years (Ira A. Beck Lodge of Battle Creek). He enjoyed flying for many years. He enjoyed motorcycling with fellow retirees for some years. He was an avid golfer throughout most of his life.
He was married to Marilyn (Ayers) Hartford for 48 years before she passed away in 2008. He met and eventually married Wanda (Branson) Hartford.
He is survived by his sons Mark Hartford of St. Charles, Missouri and Greg Hartford of Battle Creek, Michigan; step-daughter Pamela (Stanton) Duhe of Hammond, Louisiana; and sister of Corliss Belland of Baltimore, Maryland. He was a cousin, uncle, great-uncle, and a friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Hartford, his parents Albert and Olive (Wiest) Hartford, and his son Jim Hartford.
