Robert L. Conner: A Life Remembered
Robert L. Conner, known as Rob or Bob, was a long-term resident of Saint Charles, Missouri. He passed away on November 5, 2025. Rob is survived by his brother, Kim G. Conner, of Belcamp, Maryland, as well as numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces residing in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd J. and Dixie L. Conner.
Rob was born in Shamrock, Texas. He attended Cahokia Senior High School in Illinois, where he distinguished himself as a member of the winning team on the KSD-TV academic competition, "It's Academic." Rob pursued higher education at Loyola University in Chicago, earning a degree in Chemistry.
Rob's enthusiasm for problem-solving and working with his hands led him to rehabilitate houses and pursue a career as an auto mechanic. He began his professional journey at St. Charles Foreign Car, later working at Dick Dean Volkswagen and Subaru in the service department, where he eventually retired.
Rob had a wide range of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed reading, disc golf, golf, motorcycling, pistol and rifle shooting, cycling, and Taekwondo. Rob was an avid dog lover who had cared for many dogs throughout his life. He was also a self-taught artist, creating abstract art, as well as works featuring animals, nature, and portraits.
