Brian Wayne Jacobs, 78, of Audubon, MN, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Brian was born on June 19, 1945, to Heinrick and Mary (McCargo) Jacobs in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Moorhead, MN, where he barely graduated from Moorhead High School. After high school, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country in Vietnam from 1968-1969. After he returned from his military service, he began his masonry career as a tender for various operations. He was united in marriage to Roylene Bodvig in October of 1974 in Minneapolis, MN, and together they raised 5 children. He advanced his masonry career from bricklayer up to foreman ending his careeer with Green Masonry. He worked on many major projects in the tri-state area, most notably his work on the Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, ND. He retired early due to health. After retirement, he dabbled in brain surgery with the same tools he used in masonry. He never had one single patient complain.

Brian enjoyed fishing and hunting, and tried really hard at golf. He could take any serious situation and make light of it just to make you smile. He lived every day like it could be his last, yet fought hard through the many illnesses he encountered to make it at least one more day for his family . His biggest pride in his life was his family and he especially loved his grandchildren.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Roylene; children, Marc (Debbie) Jacobs, Jeff Jacobs, Michael (Susan) Jacobs, Tim Jacobs, and John (Tanya) Jacobs; grandchildren, Joshua (Ashlynn) and Craig Jacobs, Melissa, Brian, and Jarrett Jacobs, Toby, Elaina, and Leo Jacobs, and Rhiley Jacobs; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Chris) Manzaneras and Kim Johnson; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Heinrick and Mary; and brother, Craig Jacobs.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., with an honor guard ceremony beginning at 4:15 P.M., at the Moorhead American Legion,  303 30th St N, Moorhead, MN 56560.
