Brian Lee Johnson

Brian Lee Johnson, 63, of Winnie, died Wednesday, November 5, 2025. He was born on November 18, 1961, in Liberty, to Billie Alice Welch and Monroe Eugene Johnson. He grew up in Blanco, Texas, then later on in life moved back to China, Texas. He later graduated from Hardin Jefferson High School in 1980.

Brian was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and brother. His kindness and selflessness never went unnoticed. He loved spending his time at team ropings, rodeos, fishing, or golfing. When he wasn't tending to his horses, you could find him going around town telling his legendary stories. He loved being a helping hand in whatever project needed to get done around the house and could fix anything. However, his greatest joy in life was his family and his lifelong friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Johnson; children, Brandon Lee Johnson and his wife, Marlee; and Shelby Lee Singh and her husband, Nathan; grandchildren, Paxton Wade, Parker Lee, and Jennings Lee; brother, Mike Johnson and his wife, Mollie; best friend, Greg Denton and his wife, Danna; and nieces and nephews, Amanda, Colt, Chris, Korey, and Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Welch Johnson and Eugene Johnson.

A gathering of Mr. Johnson's family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Broussard's, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont.
