Brian Lee Longest

Brian was a caring and kind person who loved his family and the great out doors. He will be missed by everyone.

Brian was always Sharon's little brother to me with an 8 year difference in age. Brian was part of our Delmont Street Gang, my memories of him were the glimmer in his eyes and his beautiful smile. I often visited my Mom and Dad in Florida and we would visit Sam and Doris as they lived in the same town. There, I heard many wonderful stories about him. my condolences to Sharon and the entire Longest family.

My favorite time with my cousin Brian was many years ago. We were both 12 or 13 and uncle Sam and aunt Doris had come for a visit that year. It was a wonderful summer as he was able to stay with our cousin Kevin, as we were all the same age. I always wondered if there had been a bad winter when our mothers became pregnant at pretty much the same time!
I remember all of us at the Milford swimming pool being able to play and kid around. I also remember he loved his uncle Jerry's Lincoln, as it had suicide doors! We played in that parked car and Brian pretended to be a chauffeur and the rest of us got in the back. If only we lived closer together we could have shared many memories and gotten to know his beautiful wife and children. There are so many regrets in life and for me, and that is one of them. Be comforted from afar and know my deepest condolences to Helena, Ben and Ashley, my cousin Sharon, and her husband Paul and all the many people that were privileged to know and love Brian. He has went home to now be with the Longest family in heaven.

My childhood memories of Brian are few only because of the distance between us. We were always excited when Uncle Leroy and Aunt Doris would make the long drive from Connecticut to Illinois for our Longest family reunion. We would put penny's on the railroad tracks and be so amazed at how flat they were. One summer we drive out with Uncle Carl, Aunt Elaine, Mike, Pat and John what fun we had! I remember a carnival going on at the catholic church and Brian introducing us to his friends. I will always remember the fun we had and no matter the distance we picked up right where we left off!
