Brian Mackey Obituary
Brian R. Mackey unexpectedly passed away on April 16, 2025. He was the son of the late Richard J. Mackey and the late Evelyn Gallagher Mackey. He was retired from the State of CT, Office of Adult Probation. Earlier, he worked for many years at Bob's Stores, he started when it was still Bob's Surplus. He shared many stories of his fun times with friends there. Thankfully, in his lifetime, he got to see his beloved Red Sox win 4 World Series and his beloved Patriots win 6 Super Bowls. Brian made up for not becoming a rock star himself by going to every rock concert possible, including Kiss 60 times and Def Leppard with a close second. He leaves behind the true loves of his life, son Cameron, daughter Amanda and grandson Luca. He also leaves his sister Catherine, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours for Brian are Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Funeral services will be held privately. Brian had a smile and sense of humor above the rest. I used to tell him he was one of the two funniest people I´ve ever known. He always replied, "But I´m #1 right?!" He will be deeply missed. My sincere sympathy to Cathy, Cameron, Amanda, Luca, along with all of his friends and loved ones. Rest in Peace, Uni.
