Brian McCormack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pelham Funeral Home on Mar. 12, 2026.
Beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coworker, and friend;

Brian M. McCormack, 81, of Pelham, New Hampshire passed away on March 9th at Nashua Post Acute Care following a period of declining health with his family by his side.

He was the loving husband for nearly 59 years of Michele A. (Lorrain) McCormack, who survives him.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 1, 1945, the son of the late James J. and the late Josephine (Coyle) McCormack, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Keith Academy Class of 1963. He went on to receive his Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to his retirement, Brian worked as an electrical engineer with Lottero and Mason Electrical Engineers for many years.

As a devoted Catholic, Brian was most recently a communicant at St. Patrick's Church in Pelham but was a parishioner of St. Kathryn's Church in Hudson for many years prior. He supported both parishes as an extraordinary minister of the eucharist, as well as, the building committees and numerous parish ministries.

Brian loved music and played the guitar in a band as a young adult. He enjoyed a variety of activities over the years and was fortunate to be able to travel to a number of destinations, one of which was the annual family tradition of a few weeks at "the lake." However, his greatest joy was being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Bop."

Besides his wife Michele, Brian is survived by his son Jeffrey B. McCormack and his wife Leann of Dunbarton, NH; his daughter Keri L. Balsamo and her husband Dean of Nashua, NH; five grandchildren Mark J. McCormack, Maureen S. Fortier and her husband Samuel, Brian A. McCormack and his wife Erin, Jake D. Balsamo and Emma N. Balsamo; four great grandchildren Caleb, Benjamin, Isaac and Charlotte; a brother John McCormack and his wife Sandra of Chelmsford; and many nieces and nephews. His brothers Seamus McCormack and William McCormack predeceased him.

Friends may call on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning March 17, 2026, at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in PELHAM at 11 o'clock. Burial to follow at the Gibson Cemetery. E-condolences/directions at www.pelhamfuneralhome.com. Those wishing may make contributions in his memory to either St. Patrick's Church in Pelham or St. Kathryn's Church in Hudson.
