Brian T. McManus born November 28th, 1946 in Kirkwood, Missouri, died March 24th, 2024, Barrington Hills, Illinois.
Survived by wife Dorothy Rickerson-McManus; stepsons, Bryon Rickerson and Eric Rickerson; siblings, Robert McManus, Marilyn McManus, and Elizabeth McManus. Preceded in death by his parents Robert & Cecilia McManus; and sisters Maryann McManus, and Gail Lindsay.
Brian received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Colorado, Boulder and post graduate work at Harvard business school. President of Robert B. McManus, Inc.
Brian was a lover of travel, downhill skiing, gardening, scuba and kicking back and enjoying the cool breeze at his beach home in Macatawa, Michigan. He loved holding court at gatherings he hosted for family and friends with his beloved wife, Dorothy. Brian was a uniquely quirky fellow with countless friends and family who he deeply loved and gifted with his generosity.
He was surrounded by loved ones in his final days. He will be missed.

Wake to be held on Tuesday, March 26th at Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St., Barrington, Illinois 60010, from 3pm to 9pm. Mass to be held 11am Wednesday, March 27th at Saint Anne’s Church, 120 N. Ela St. (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.) Barrington, Illinois 60010. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Journey Care hospice, otherwise known as Addus HomeCare Foundation online at https://journeycare.org/donate/ or via mail to 405 N Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, Illinois 60010.
