Weddle Funeral Service - LebanonBrian Arthur Oeder, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong public servant, passed away peacefully in Lebanon, Oregon. Born on July 28, 1961, to Yvonne O’Brian and Lincoln Arthur Oeder, Brian’s life was marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a deep commitment to helping others.
After graduating from high school, Brian entered the United States Navy, where he served with honor and distinction for 20 years. His time in the military shaped his character—instilling discipline, resilience, and a profound sense of duty. Upon retiring from the Navy, Brian continued his service to others as a 911 dispatcher for Linn County, a role he held for 24 years.
Brian’s commitment to public safety extended beyond his professional life. He volunteered as a firefighter in Lebanon, offering his time and courage to protect his neighbors. In his youth, he also served as a volunteer police deputy, reflecting a lifelong devotion to community service.
Brian was a devoted member of Lebanon Four Square Church and he was also an avid reader.
Those who knew Brian remember him as calm, attentive, and deeply kind. He had a gentle sense of humor and loved to share a laugh with those closest to him. His presence was steady and reassuring, and his love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Yvonne and Lincoln. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his siblings, Jim Oeder, Corinne Oeder; his children, Joshua Oeder, Mathew Oeder, and Rachel Streitberger; six grandchildren—Kathrine, Krystae, Hunter, Jacob, Johnathan, and Haley; and three great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
Brian’s legacy is one of service, faith, and love And Service. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 2 PM at Lebanon Foursquare Church in Lebanon, Oregon.
