Brian A. Reed Sr. was a loving husband and devoted father. He was a man whose world revolved around his family, especially his children, who were his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Brian was young, full of love, and had so much life left to live, making his passing especially heartbreaking.

For 31 years, Brian shared a deep and lasting love with his wife, Misty Reed. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and strength. As the father of five, Brian worked tirelessly to provide for his family and to be present in their lives. He adored his children and cherished every moment with them, leaving behind young hearts who will forever feel his absence but carry his love with them always.

Brian was known for his strong work ethic and dedication as a union painter for Local 7 for many years. He took pride in his work and believed in showing up, working hard, and doing right by his family. Outside of work, he found happiness cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time playing Fortnite—often using those moments to connect, relax, and share joy with his kids.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Misty Reed; his daughter, Brianne Kurtz (Nick); and his sons, Brian Jr., Aidyn, Ethan, and Nathan Reed. He is also survived by his brother, Jeff Hutchinson; his brother- and sister-in-law, Valens Branstutter and Valerie King; his mother-in-law, Doris Porterfield, and Aunts and Uncle Herb (Kelli), and Sue King; along with many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply and will miss him always.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynda (Hutchinson) Forgette; Father Jeff Reed; Father-in-laws Randy Porterfield and Valens Branstutter, and his wife’s Grandparents Janet and Herbert King Sr.

Brian’s passing leaves an unimaginable hole in the lives of those who loved him, especially his children, who will grow up holding his love in their hearts every day. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave was powerful and lasting. Brian will be forever missed, deeply loved, and never forgotten.
