Brian Paul Reid

REID, Brian Paul. Age 79, of Clinton Township, Michigan, went into the loving arms of Jesus on August 4, 2023.
Brian was born to Frances (Frank) and Anna Reid, on December 24, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan and was the youngest of 4 siblings whom he loved and cared for deeply. He was a graduate of De La Salle Collegiate, Class of 1963, and was part of the football team. After high school, he enlisted with the National Guard where he helped establish peace during the Detroit Riots. He then followed his father and brother in the trades as a Pattern Maker/Tool Maker of which he spent his working years doing.
Brian was a quiet, gentle, and unassuming man of faith whom had a profound love for his family. He volunteered with the Cub Scouts as Committee Chairman, enjoyed working on cars, and shared his love for hydroplane racing and convertible cars with his kids, and his love for traveling and cruising the open sea with his wife.
Brian is survived by two sons, Curtis (Ann) Reid, Matthew (Holli) Reid; six grandchildren, Jacob Reid, Parker Reid, Emily Reid, Marissa Reid, Bryson Reid, and Christina Reid; and two siblings, Ronald (Bette) Reid and Rosemary (Thomas) Doyle, and many cherished nieces and nephews and family friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his beloved wife Francis (Domanski); son, Steven "Sunshine" Reid; parents, Frances and Anna Reid; sibling, Lucille (Richard) Christy; niece, Maureen Doyle.
Memorial Gathering at 9:30am on Thursday, August 17th at St. Paul of Tarsus Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038, with a 10am Memorial Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following the mass.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the healthcare professionals working in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Units for their skilled and compassionate care of Brian during his extended stay at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.
