Brian Roney Obituary
Born October 17, 1965, in Salem, he was the son of Claudia (Sullivan) Tower and the late Garry Roney. He married Kim (Taulman) Roney on September 6, 2000, in Vernon; she survives..
Brian served in the United States Army from 1986 to 1996 and worked in industrial maintenance for Metaldyne Sintered Components in North Vernon. He was an active commander of the Am Vets Post 7 of North Vernon, and a member of Moose Lodge 576, Eagles Club 4097, and V.F.W. Post 2021 in North Vernon. Brian enjoyed golfing and fishing, watching his grandkids play sports, and was an avid IU fan.
Brian is survived by his wife, Kim; sons Christopher Roney of El Paso, Texas, and Justin Craft of North Vernon; daughters Samantha (Dylan) Minden of Spring Hill, Kansas, and Lacey (Stephen) Meister of Nineveh; mother Claudia (Bob) Tower of Columbus; brother Craig (Kimmy) Tower of Columbus; sisters Sherry (Mark) McCory of Tallahassee, Florida, and Dina (Dan) Walls of Scottsburg; grandchildren Bella and Tyler; two nephews and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Garry Roney, and his grandparents.
Cremation was chosen, with no services at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Brian through the funeral home to Am Vets Post 7 of North Vernon.

My deepest condolences to the Roney families. I haven´t seen Brian since maybe in the few years after high school graduation, but he was so fun and one of my favorites. His death is shocking and what he was fighting at the end is heartbreaking. The only good is he is at peace now but I´m sure he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
