He was born on July 15, 1956, in Medina, Ohio, to parents Ronald & Dorothy (Blades) Roney, and graduated from Loudonville High School with the class of 1974.
Daniel worked as a self-employed truck driver for 40+ years until retiring in 2016. Dan drove for Shelly Co., Flexible, Ace Doran, Cowen Truck Line, and retired from Landstar in 2016.
He is survived by his significant other, Ginny Muntan; his son, Chris (Liz) Roney; his grandchildren, Allan Roney and Alex Roney; and his siblings, Terry (Peggy) Roney, Pat Bash, Pam Perreira, and Jane Aslakson.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life honoring Daniel's life will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon) at the Perrysville Presbyterian Church, 111 S Bridge St., Perrysville, OH.
