Tim Randy Porter

PERRYSVILLE: Tim Randy Porter, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, February 23, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on November 25, 1950, in Ashland, Ohio, to Russell and Doris (Meeks) Porter. A 1969 graduate of Loudonville High School, Tim married the love of his life, Mary Jo Patterson, on May 29, 1969. Together, they shared 56 years of marriage.

Shortly after graduating, Tim began his career as a machinist with F.E. Meyer, where he worked for ten years. He later became a truck driver for Truax Printing and H&H Custom Homes & Construction, faithfully working until his retirement.

Tim found joy in life's simple pleasures-tinkering on car engines, mowing his fields, and spending sunny days boating on Pleasant Hill Lake or watching the barges drift across Lake Erie. An antique car enthusiast and talented woodworker, he took pride in his craftsmanship, creating pieces such as a handcrafted gun cabinet and a cuckoo clock.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Porter; his daughter, Ti (Jason) Pennell; his grandson, Jayme (Madison Carey) Pennell; his siblings, Teresa Odenkirk and Ted Porter; his sister-in-law, Esther Porter; and several nieces and nephews, Vern, Trudy, Kris, Robert, and Ryan.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his siblings, Gail, Terry, and Trudy; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Porter and Vickie Porter.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home – Lindsey Chapel. A funeral service celebrating Tim's life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Wade Wolfe and Kim Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
