Brian Shockley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Loudoun Funeral Chapel on Mar. 12, 2025.
BRIAN PATRICK SHOCKLEY, 24, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Reston, Virginia. If the only measure of a human's life were time, it would seem short, but when measured in memorable moments and love, Brian's was infinite. He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was marked by love and compassion.
Brian was born on Saturday, March 18, 2000, in Watertown, New York, to Glenn Shockley and Michelle Waychoff.
Brian graduated from Rampart High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He loved acting and appeared in his high school's adaptations of Shakespeare's *Twelfth Night* and *A Midsummer Night's Dream*. He was an avid lover of words – spoken, written, and musical. He began writing a book in his freshman year of college and, more recently, aspired to record his own heavy metal album. He had a curious nature, always eager to learn new things. Brian graduated with an associate's degree from Northern Virginia Community College and went on to become a Fabrication Technician for TechnoGuard.
Brian is survived by his loving family, including the love of his life, Taylor Fisher; his children, Lily and Greyson Shockley; his parents, Michelle (David) Waychoff of Leesburg, Virginia, and Glenn (Erica) Shockley of Summerville, South Carolina; his brother, Kaleb Shockley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his brothers, Gabriel Waychoff, Xander Waychoff, and Elijah Waychoff of Leesburg, Virginia; his sister, Emma Shockley of Gainesville, Florida; and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg, Virginia, 20175. A memorial service will take place immediately following, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived and the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Voices for Virginia's Children or Christian Fellowship Church in Brian's honor.
