Brian Alan Smith, 52, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital on Sunday, August 11, 2024. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Brother David During and Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. Lee Howard, Shane Drew, David Causey, Jamie DeMott, Michael Plymel, and Jeff Ivey will serve as pallbearers. Brian Key, Barry Bennett, and Cody Norton will be honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

He was born on November 22, 1971, in Fulton County, Georgia, to the late William Ellis Smith and Kay Frances Barron Smith Moncrief. Mr. Smith was a dedicated professional dog trainer, he worked for several hunting plantations and was also a member of Olive Baptist Church in Monticello, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister-in-law, Gloria Smith. 

Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Brian Collin Smith of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter, Peyton Lee Smith of Fort Collins, Colorado; brothers, Bill Smith Jr, of Villa Rica, Georgia, Russ Smith and wife Kim of Moultrie, Georgia, Glenn Smith and wife Angela of Moultrie, Georgia, and Philip Smith and wife Dimitra of Villa Rica, Georgia; sisters, Sharon Dixon and husband Frank of Moultrie, Georgia, and Arlene Smith of Fredericksburg, Virginia; special friend, Amber Keeler of Tallahassee, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
