Brian Anthony Smith, 44, of Union, Missouri died on February 26, 2026.
Brian was born July 3, 1981, in Maryville, Illinois at Anderson Hospital. Brian lived in Granite City, Illinois until the age of 3, when he moved with his family to Union Missouri.
Brian graduated from Union High School in 1999 and took several courses at East Central College and received a certificate in Auto Mechanic repair. He also received a certificate in heavy equipment operation and a commercial driver’s license from Associated Training Services in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Brian married Amanda Lea LaValle, August 26, 2006. At this time Brian became the stepfather of Bella Noelle LaValle. Brian moved his family to Leadville Colorado where he worked as a repair estimator for Avon Collision Shop in Eagleville, Colorado. Several years later he moved his family back to Union Missouri. Over the years Brian had various jobs in manufacturing, delivery, mechanics, and contract work with Lowes in Sullivan Missouri.
He is survived by his immediate family: Mother Sandra Marie (Stringer) Smith, brother Bradley Alan Smith former wife Amanda Lea Lavalle; significant other Heidi Cherilyn (Sohn) Sparks; stepson Logan Joseph Morgan. Extended family includes uncles Rick Smith, William Smith, and Alan Stringer; aunts Valerie Trittschuh and Kimberly (Lee) Ball; and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Samuel Thompson Smith, Grandparents Clifton and Juanita (Thompson) Smith, William G. and Elaine (Jones) Stringer.

A memorial service will be held at a future date at the Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Union, Missouri.
