Brian Snow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Twin Chapels Mortuary on Mar. 18, 2026.
Brian Snow, 53, of Benicia, California, passed away on February 28, 2026.

Brian was born on February 14, 1973, in Concord, California. He grew up in Moraga and graduated from North Bay Orinda High School in 1991. In recent years, he made Benicia his home.

Brian had an open heart for everyone he met. He was funny, helpful, kind, stubborn, and incredibly generous. He always lived life his own way.

Material things were never important to Brian. What mattered most to him were the people he loved, traveling, sailing, playing bocce, and spending time with the many friends he kept close throughout his life. Brian had a deep love of history and learning, and he especially enjoyed reading non-fiction and expanding his knowledge of the world. His travels through Europe reflected that passion, particularly the time he spent in Prague, Budapest, Slovenia, and Croatia.

He was also a devoted Oakland A's fan and loved the Grateful Dead. Brian adored his cat, Berlin.

He is survived by his mother, Denise Clausen (Jim Burcham); his sister, Kristen Gutierrez (Nick Dawson); his brother, Michael Mealey (Christine); and his niece and nephews, Eric Gutierrez (Anna Schwanbeck), Morgan Gutierrez, Richard Mealey, and Ryan Mealey. Brian is preceded in death by his father, James Denton Snow.

Brian will be deeply missed by his family and by the many friends whose lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 10, 2026, from 3:00–7:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 1150 First Street, Benicia, California. Friends and family are invited to stop in and celebrate Brian.
