David Snow Obituary

David Paul Snow

June 11, 1943 - March 3, 2026

David Paul Snow, 82, of Bennington, Neb., formerly of St. Paul, died peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.

David was born June 11, 1943, in Ogallala, Neb., to Harold and Louise (Asell) Snow. He graduated from St. Paul High School in 1961 and from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1966. He met Connie Bainter in 1963, and they married two years later. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage in May 2025.

David spent many years serving as a YMCA CEO, a career that took him and his family to communities in Nebraska, Missouri, Montana, Iowa, and North Dakota before retiring to his childhood hometown of St. Paul, Neb. There he remained actively involved in the community he loved.

In St. Paul, David served as President of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, President of Rotary, and a member of the Economic Development Board. He was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church, serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and singing in the church choir. He also served on the Heartland United Way Board and was Foundation Director for HCMC.

David enjoyed golfing, listening to music, and remodeling the homes he lived in. He will be remembered for his quiet leadership, generosity, and lifelong dedication to serving others.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Louise Snow; his brother, James Snow; and sisters-in-law, Helen Snow and Pamela Snow.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Snow of Bennington; his children, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Snow of Inkom, Idaho, Deborah Snow of Atlanta, Georgia, and Vicki (Kenneth) Lilienthal of Bennington; his siblings, Marcus Snow and Janet (Robin) Elstermeier; sister-in-law Sharon (Jerry) Jaksha; grandchildren Reagan Snow (Tyler Naftz), Eric (Elaina) Lilienthal, Brett (Taylor Bishop) Lilienthal, Riley (Jay) LeNoble, Ryanne (Jacob) Baldwin, and Ryker Snow; great-grandchildren, Florence LeNoble, Charlie, Franklin, and Bennett Baldwin, Sienna Lilienthal, and Beckham McIntire; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul. The Revs. Nicole Schwartz-Eck and Thomas Hyde will officiate. Inurnment will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. A luncheon will follow at the United Methodist Church fellowship hall.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
