David Paul Snow was born on June 11, 1943, in Ogallala, Nebraska, to Louise Victoria (Asell) Snow and Harold Little Snow.
David graduated from St. Paul High School in 1961 and then from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1966. He met Connie Bainter in 1963. They married two years later and celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2025. He devoted much of his professional life to the YMCA, serving many years as a CEO. His career took him and his family to numerous communities, including Nebraska, Missouri, Montana, Iowa, and North Dakota. He ultimately retired in his childhood hometown of St. Paul, Nebraska—a place that held special meaning for him.
Retirement did not slow David down. In St. Paul, he remained actively involved in the community he loved, serving as President of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, President of Rotary, and a member of the Economic Development Board. He was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and sang in the church choir. David also served on the Heartland United Way Board, was Foundation Director for HCMC, and generously gave his time and leadership wherever it was needed.
Outside of his many commitments, David loved golfing, listening to music, and remodeling every house he lived in—projects he tackled with pride and patience. While he could fix almost anything around the house, he often joked that repairing cars was not his strength.
David will be remembered for his quiet leadership, steady presence, strong values, and lifelong dedication to serving others. His legacy lives on through his family, his community service, and the countless lives he touched along the way.
He was a proud father to Jeffrey Snow (Elizabeth) of Inkom, ID; Deborah Snow of Atlanta, GA; and Vicki (Kenneth) Lilienthal of Bennington.
David was a grandfather of Reagan Snow (Tyler Naftz), Riley (Jay) LeNoble, Ryanne (Jacob) Baldwin, Ryker Snow, Eric (Elaina) Lilienthal, and Brett (Taylor) Lilienthal.
He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Florence LeNoble; Charlie, Franklin, and Bennett Baldwin; Sienna Lilienthal; and Beckham McIntire.
David is survived by his siblings, Janet (Robin) Elstermeier and Marcus Snow, and sister-in-law Sharon (Jerry) Jaksha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise (Asell) Snow and Harold Snow; his brother, James Snow; and sisters-in-law, Helen Snow and Pamela Snow.
