Brian was called home by our Lord on May 04, 2024, surrounded by his family at the Veteran’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Brian was a graduate of Camelback High School. He enlisted in the Army after graduation and served his country during Desert Storm.

After his tour in the military, he became a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #359. Brian lived life to the fullest! He had a passion for skydiving and was a member of the Rebel Skydiving Team. (First Hispanic Skydiving Team in Phoenix). Brian was an active jack of all trade’s member of American Legion Post 41. Few people knew of his love for Artistry, he enjoyed drawing and making things with lots of love for people. Brian never met a stranger, talked to everyone, he had such a big heart and a smile for everyone.

Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents Juan and Hortencia Ramirez. He is survived by his parents Martha and Eddie Lopez, his two sons, Austin and Brenden, sister Victoria, brothers James (Anitra), and Andrew Speese, extended family of uncles, aunts, and lots of cousins.

The family would like to thank his companion Sabina for being there for Brian in his time of need. Thank you to the VA Medical Team that assisted Brian during his stay at the hospital.

A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 9th with a memorial service to begin at 11 a.m., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix. Burial will immediately follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brian Speese’s name to your favorite charity or foundation.
