Brian Storberg Obituary

Brian Storberg

February 1, 1962 - August 24, 2025

Brian Storberg, 63, of Hudson, WI, passed peacefully on August 24 with his loving family by his side at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Brian was born on February 1, 1962, in Eau Claire to Glenn and Mae Storberg. Brian was a 1980 graduate of North High School. Pneumonia prevented him from attending his 45th class reunion, which he was so looking forward to this past weekend. Brian later graduated with an Associate's Degree from Brown Institute in Minneapolis.

Brian was 15 years old when he met Cindy, where they both worked at L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library. They had been together 48 years at Brian's passing. Brian began his IT career working for Unisys at Air Force bases in Omaha, NE; Alamogordo, NM; and Glendale, AZ. Later, he was transferred to the Unisys facility in Roseville, and he was ecstatic to be closer to family and friends. He remained with Unisys for 25 years and was once honored "Unisys Employee of the Year." Rumor has it that he should have received a few trophies for volleyball escapades while being on call at Unisys. More recently, he worked for Andersen Windows in Bayport.

Brian and Cindy were married on May 21, 1988, at St. Patrick's Church in Eau Claire. Brian is survived by his loving wife Cindy of Hudson, his three sisters: Bonnie (Jack) Quall of Eau Claire; Brenda (Charlie) Harvey of Carolina Shores, NC; and Barbara Dickert of Dillsburg, PA. He is also survived by his sisters- and brothers-in-law: Terri Black and Mike Schultz of Hayward; Vicki and Steve Wagner of Eau Claire; Kris and Mike Miller of Eau Claire; Betsy Fisher and Bruce Barnes of Delano, MN; and Janalee and Gregg Perry of Altoona. Nieces and nephews: Melissa (Mark) Winter, Bradley (Sheila) Quall, Scott (Amanda) Harvey, Sonja (David) Nelson, Dan Dickert, Luke (Kerry) Schultz, Kim Schultz, Tony (Sherry) Wagner, Randi Wagner, Paul Wagner, Erin Miller, Peter (Casey) Miller, Chelsey (Frank) Johnson, Ben Fisher, Ryan Perry, and Colin (Lexi) Perry. Brian also has 28 great nieces and nephews and 6 great-great nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Bradley and Bart; his in-laws, Roy and Janice Black; his brothers-in-law, Tom Dickert and Jon Fisher; and his nephew, Dustin Schultz.

A celebration of life will take place this Thursday, August 28, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at the VFW on Starr Avenue, Eau Claire. Brian was a die-hard Packer, Brewers, and Badger fan. Please wear attire representing your favorite team. We are all fortunate to have enjoyed time with Brian, spending countless hours boating, fishing, and hunting. He completed beautiful wood working projects both at home and for friends and family. His crafts were a work of art and of superb craftsmanship. He could repair about anything. He was kind and big-hearted. He loved teasing his sisters and nieces and nephews, and they loved him. Someday he will be able to tease them again in the hereafter.
