Brian James Theobald

Brian Theobald, 94, of Titusville, FL, passed away on February 7, 2026 in Titusville.

Brian was born in London, England to Frank and Vera on March 1, 1931. He attended Westminster City School and was evacuated to rural England during World War II. He then went on to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering from London City College. He and his first wife, Margaret Theobald immigrated to Canada in 1956 and then to the USA in 1966 where they raised three children. In 1987 he and Jean Theobald were married until her passing on March 19, 2024.

Brian held a number of technical and executive management positions in the textile industry that allowed him to live in several different states including Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Wisconsin, New York, Mississippi, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and finally Florida. He was a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chemical Engineers. An avid golfer, he organized a Senior Golf League for many years in Titusville and he continued to play into his 90's.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Vera, his brother John, and also Margaret and Jean.

He is survived by son John and spouse Lynn of Charlotte, NC; son Malcolm and spouse Janice of Evergreen, CO; daughter Christine and spouse Greg of Caledonia, MI. Surviving grandchildren are: Michael and spouse Kaitlin; Andy and spouse Kirsten; Shannon and spouse Jae; and Margaret, Philip and Jennifer; Jordan and spouse Alexandra, Alexander and spouse Jaclyn, Taylor and spouse David. Surviving great-grandchildren are Drew, Finley, Jonathan, Savannah, Jackson, Hayden, Walker, Ellen and David.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday February 28, 2026 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Titusville. The Rev. Dr. Tony Steinbronn will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in Vermont.

Memorials may be given to St. Francis Hospice of Brevard County Florida, Glaucoma Research or a charity of your choice. The family of Brian wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of St. Francis Hospice and also Addington Place Assisted Living of Titusville, FL.
