Brian R. Tippett, age 63, of Chillicothe, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Brian was born on August 28, 1961 in Peoria, IL to Raymond G. and Sandra E. (Genseal) Tippett.
Surviving are his mother, Sandra, of Chillicothe, IL; his daughters, Anna Powers of Peoria, IL, Amanda (Sam) Wyant of Chillicothe, IL, Halle Tippett of Lewistown, IL, Brook Tippett of Chillicothe, IL and Sophe Tippett of Chillicothe, IL; his stepdaughter, Emily Cox of Lacon, IL; his siblings, Steve (Amy) Tippett of Peoria, IL, Debbie (Dave) Day of Chillicothe, IL and Beth Ann Fleming of Rome, IL; ten grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother-in-law, and a sister-in-law.
Brian worked for the Greater Chillicothe Sanitation District for over 40 years. He also did field maintenance at Shore Acres Park and was a softball umpire. Brian was an avid Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan and he loved going fishing.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 11am at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe with visitation beginning at 9am. Monsignor Gerald Ward will officiate. Burial of ashes will be at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brian R. Tippett Memorial Trust at CEFCU.
