Brian Timothy Vassel, age 51, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born on April 12, 1974, in Oklahoma City to Charles Ray and Nancy Lee (Gilcrease) Vassel, Brian spent most of his life in Midwest City after his family moved there when he was just two years old.

Brian's love for his pets was evident, especially his beloved cat Maddie and his dog Sophie. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on teams like the OU Sooners, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Beyond his enthusiasm for sports, Brian was a skilled painter, his attention to detail earned him a loyal group of customers who were always willing to wait for his talents.

Brian loved decorating for the holidays. His Halloween, Christmas, and Easter decorations were renowned among family and friends. He also cherished quiet moments spent fishing from the dock, finding peace and contentment in the simple pleasures of life.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy. He is survived by his father Charles, brother "Chris" Vassel and his wife Charlene, all of whom will hold his memory close in their hearts. Brian's kindness, dedication, and joyful spirit touched everyone he met, and he will be deeply missed.

A Funeral Service for Brian will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home, 1820 S Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK 73130.
