Brian Christopher Veitenhans

Tacoma, WA - On September 1, 2025, our beloved Brian Christopher Veitenhans, affectionately known as Chris, took his final ride at the age of 74. A man who found freedom on the open road and peace in the roar of an engine, he has now set off for a place where the sun always shines and the pavement is endless.

Born on June 11, 1951, in Bremerton, WA, Chris was the son of Carl K. and Vianna G. Veitenhans. From an early age, he was drawn to adventure and the camaraderie of the motorcycle community. He was more than just a rider; he was a true road warrior with a heart as big as the sky and a spirit that couldn't be tamed. His leather jacket and boots weren't just an outfit-they were a second skin, symbols of a life lived on his own terms.

Beyond the chrome and leather, Chris was known as "Papa Chris" to many foster children over the years. His quiet strength and genuine kindness provided comfort and stability, leaving an indelible mark on every young life he touched. He was a papa to many, whether by blood or by love.

Chris was a beacon of loyalty and friendship. He taught us that a strong work ethic and a kind heart could get you through anything. He was known for his unique sense of humor, his ability to go above and beyond for those he loved, his creative imagination, and his generosity with his hammer and a shot of Jameson. He wasn't just a father or a friend; he was an anchor for his family and a brother to every rider he met.

He is survived by his mother, Vianna G. Veitenhans; his daughters, Jennifer Julian and Jessica Sydow; son-in-law, Donovan Sydow; brothers, Neal, Greg, and Marty Veitenhans; and his little sister, Lyn McManus. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Chloe Carl, Amber Steele, Myah, and Isabella Julian, and great-grandchildren, YouMe, Rakkaan, Leo, Alannah and Thomas Jr, along with many nieces and nephews who wished to have ridden in his sidecar.

He will be deeply missed by a brotherhood of riders and countless friends who shared in his love for the road and adventure. Ride free, Chris. We'll see you on the other side.

In honor of his generous spirit and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at this link. A QR code is also available for those who wish to donate directly from their phone ( Please scroll down to see QR code)
