I had the privilege of teaching Brian in second grade. I still remember his love for learning, quiet demeanor, big beautiful smile, and gentle humbleness. He had a classmate who was also diabetic and he was a good friend and protector to her. I am so sorry for your heartbreak, but know Brian was a blessing to many in his short lifetime.
