Brian Edward Winiecki, 44, of Sharon, passed away following an extended illness on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Brian was born on January 26, 1981, in Sharon, a son of Ronald Edward Winiecki and Sherry (Brown) Winiecki Graban. He attended Hickory High School until his senior year and was a 1999 graduate of Sharon High School. He honorably served his country during the Iraqi War of Freedom. During his service in the U.S. Air Force, he earned an associate degree in avionics. He was a decorated veteran, honorably discharged with a 100% disability. Brian was a member of the American Legion, Post 299, Sharon.
Brian loved electronics, especially building stereo systems, gaming and building and racing R.C. Cars. He enjoyed racing R.C. cars at "Austintown Hobby." Additionally, he was a cat-lover.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jennifer Medvec, whom he married on June 20, 2001. They renewed their vows on September 28, 2002.
Also surviving are his two children, Nadia Trinity Winiecki, and Tyler Edward Winiecki, all of Sharon; his mother, Sherry Graban, of Sharon; his maternal grandmother, Sally Brown, of Hermitage; three siblings, Jennifer Basner and her husband, Brian, of Tabernacle, NJ, Matthew Graban and his spouse Christine, of Cortland, OH, Kisha Ballard and her husband, Geoff, of Sharon; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian was preceded in death by his father.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the family at Brian's Memorial Fund.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (06/24/2025) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Rick Stauffer, officiating.
