Frances Winiecki

Frances "Fran" Winiecki, age 94, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 after a brief stay at Nightingale Nursing & Rehab Center in Erie, PA. She was born in Erie on January 24, 1931, daughter of the late Frank S. and Blanche (Galgan) Abramczyk.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Bernard "Ben" Winiecki; her son, Michael Winiecki; and son-in-law, James Orth. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Edward, and Chester Abramczyk; and three sisters, Florence Pozzutti, Wanda DeDionisio, and MaryAnn Abramczyk.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Patricia Orth of Orchard Park, NY and Debi Parris of Erie. Her cherished grandchildren include Stacey Marks, Albert Parris, Damian Winiecki, Kyle Orth, Carrie Curtis, and Angela Coon. Fran is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She is further survived by a brother, Al (Marge) Abramczyk, of Camp Hill, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Fran dedicated 40 years of her life as a stockroom clerk at J.C. Penny's. She loved spending time with her family, cooking Sunday dinners and enjoying the cheerful sounds of her beloved polka music!
Friends may call at St. Ann's Church, 921 East Ave, from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass there at 10 am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
