Mr. Brick S. “Pop” Miller, 88, of Buena Vista, passed away on October 27, 2025, in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at Brantley Church on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Chapman and Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Rush, Alan Miller, Keith Miller, Jeremy Moore, Lewis Fokes, Michael Miller, Marc Miller and Jack Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Brantley Church, Members of the Lions Club of Buena Vista and other beloved friends. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00PM.
Pop was born November 21, 1936, in Buena Vista to Johnnie T. and Lillie Curlee Miller. He loved God and Jesus and was a longtime member and pillar of Brantley Church. Pop worked for Reliable Gas Company for many years as a manager and was also the owner of Pop Miller Industries, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and outdoors. Picking on people and trying to make them laugh was a favorite pass time of his. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Pop always kept his yard in pristine condition and would help anybody with their lawn cutting. He loved traveling with his friends and family, especially the love of his life, Gayle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bill Roberts, four sisters, Dixie Moore, Doris Ward, Ruth Rush, and Mary Mitchell and a brother, Vilas “Bud” Miller.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Gayle M. Miller of Buena Vista; two daughters, Becky Powell and her husband, Alton and Patsy Roberts, all of Buena Vista ; two brothers, Thomas and Linda Miller and Ronnie and Betty Moore; two grandchildren, Clint Powell (Kara) and Kinsey Watkins (Brandon); three great-grandchildren, Lily Jax Watkins, Hollin Rae Watkins and Emmy Claire Powell; and several loved nieces and nephews.
