Bridget Kramer Dumsa, 63, of Milford, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2022.
Beloved wife for 37 years of Christopher Dumsa; cherished mother of Ryan (Heather Abraham) Dumsa and Jordan (Derek) Skrine; devoted grandmother of Fiona and Callum Dumsa, Finley and Walker Skrine; dear daughter of Ellen and the late Richard Kramer; sister of Rick (Maureen) Kramer, Dennis (Jennifer) Kramer, Michele (Dan) McNary, Julie (Brian) Koehler, the late Jim Kramer and sister-in-law of Erika (Paul) Ebbing. Daughter-in-law of the late Dorothy and the late Alfred Dumsa. Sister-in-law of Carolyn (Bill) Mayhew, (the late Phil Nitzkorski), the late Laura (the late Rod) Bennett, Fred (Colleen) Dumsa, and the late Lisa (Jerry) Billings. She is also survived by her extended family and many friends.
Bridget was born March 4, 1959. She grew up in Detroit and attended Gesu Elementary School where she first showed others her true spirit. Bridget graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1977 and then earned her Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University in 1981. She then went on to work 41 years in the insurance industry beginning with Farmers Insurance Agency and then with Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association. Bridget was highly respected amongst her peers and was a very dedicated employee working full time up until her time of death.
During her years at Gesu, Bridget and Kit began their lifelong relationship and were married August 24, 1985. They lived in Novi for eight years before moving to Milford where they raised their two children, Ryan and Jordan. They spent much of their time at their condo in Harbor Springs where Bridget enjoyed relaxing on the beach and getting family and friends involved in lively games such as all-beach-terrain bocce ball. Bridget had a way of filling every day, even a cloudy one, with sunshine and laughter.
Known as GiGi by her grandchildren, Bridget cherished the time they spent together and loved to experience new adventures right alongside of them. From building sandcastles on the beach to enjoying a very recent trip to see the Immersive Nutcracker, Bridget was overjoyed to watch her grandchildren's personalities grow.
Bridget loved to have a good time and her humor was uplifting; she was kindhearted, generous with her time and talents, inclusive, and genuinely cared for others. When you walked into a room and saw Bridget, you knew it was going to be fun. Everyone was happier and learned to take life a little less seriously while in her presence. Her genuine love of life was contagious and inspired all who knew her to approach their own lives with the same enthusiasm.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 am, St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows, 1955 E. Commerce St., Milford, MI.
Visitation at the church will begin at 10:15 am

I am truly saddened to learn of this beautiful lady's death, much, much too early. I know she will be so missed by her devoted family and I will miss seeing her on the beach we shared for many years. With love and condolences to Kit, her children, grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

Words are so inadequate to express the love, joy, laughter, antics, and deep longing felt in the recesses of the soul for the loss of cousin Bridget. She loved deeply and was blessed to be in the Kramer family. Her mom, Aunt Ellen, taught her strength, endurance, kindness, love, hope and an unwavering belief and trust in God. Bridget is home pain free welcomed by her dad and brother and so many relatives. The void on Earth is filled by all whose life she touched and continues to flow through her children and grands. Her legacy lives forever. Heaven has gained another angel. Rest in Peace Bridget and may your heavenly light shine upon us as you guide from above. Even though words are inadequate they are what we use to express heartfelt emotions.
Love you Bridget ,

The last words given to me from Bridget were a great compliment, stating that I was nicely aged with a fruity character and nutty overtones. Well, it takes one to know one!!
It brings me great joy that we shared these things in common. I am hoping that her joyful spirit shines through the sadness that her passing has left
