GIBSON CITY - Bridget M. Heavilin, 48, of Gibson City, formerly of Fairbury and Strawn, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at her home in Gibson City.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Strawn Community Building in Strawn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
Rosenbaum Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Bridget was born February 20, 1975, in Gibson City a daughter of David and Trudy Heavilin.
She is survived by her mother, Trudy Heavilin of Strawn; two sons that she loved with all of her heart: Ashdon Heavilin and Landon Collins of Strawn; and two sisters: Gena (Brian) Vernon and Stacey Heavilin also of Strawn; her nieces and nephews: Wyatt, Shelby, Chase, Summer and Raygen; grandfather, Jack Walton of Gibson City. Her dad David "Gravy" Heavilin preceded her in death.
Bridget has had a lifelong battle with epilepsy and mental health. Having Schizophrenia her fears had taken over her life. We now know she is at peace and will be taken care of. Rest in peace Bridg, we love you.

I'm so sorry for your loss - she was so young. I didn't know Bridget, but I knew her dad, David (Gravy). He was such a great guy when we were classmates at Saybrook-Arrowsmith High School. Blessings to your family during your great sorrow. Hold onto the wonderful memories of Bridget.
