ADRIAN- Briggada Ann "Bridgit" Carranza, age 60 years of Adrian, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital. She was born on March 31, 1965, in Holland, Michigan, the daughter of Maria (Lozano) Ochoa and Santos Carranza. Bridgit graduated from Madison High School in 1983. She attended Adrian College and worked as a dietary manager in the health care industry at Adrian HealthCare.
Bridgit loved the simple things in life, a good cup of coffee, watching the birds, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music, reading a good book, going to the lake and watching horror movies. Her favorite thing was becoming a grandmother and spoiling her grandchildren and pets. Left to cherish Bridgit's memory are her two children, Ashley (Sam Martinez) Griffes and Trevor (Chantae Johnson) Carranza, seven precious grandchildren, Riley, Cashton, Ian, Cartier, Maria, Cruz and Capri, her mother, Maria Ochoa, her father, Santos Carranza, her sister, Laura (Troy) McGowan, nephew, Andre Trevino, Hayden (Marinda) McGowen and great nephew, Cameron. She was preceded in death by her step-dad, Robert Ochoa, and grandparents, Librado (Chonita) Lozano and Aljandro (Maria) Carranza. A Mass of Christian Burial Rite will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Campus with Father Mike Newman officiating.
