Brigitte Puckett, 69, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 8, 2025. She was born January 2, 1956, in Idar Oberstein, Germany, daughter of the late Gerhard Kiefer and Helga Moosmann.
She is survived by her lifelong best friend, Samuel Puckett; daughters, Rachel Huff, Angie Puckett and Julie Puckett; grandkids Sierra (Jim), Cidney (Ian), Blake (Dylan), Brianna, Carlee, C.J., Brayden, Karissa, Kaylee and Briella; great-grandson Jayden; several nieces and nephews, whom she adored and loved with all her heart; brothers Thomas Kiefer and Wesley Hill; loving friend for many years Kathy Williamson; and niece Kathy Buhrts whom she loved like a daughter.
Brigitte was preceded by death by her mother, Helga Moosmann and father, Gerhard Kiefer; sisters June, Ursula, Karen and Heike; and grandson, Cayson Huff.
Brigitte worked at Austin Powder and retired after 20+ years from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections as an executive secretary. She loved her dog, Boots, as well as Coca- Cola, Bingo, spending time with family and friends, baking her favorite family recipes, and she was a faithful fan of Rachel Maddox, of MSNBC. Brigitte served on the Vinton County School Board for 4 years.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Dr. Christopher Seth Anderson officiating. Family and friends may visit from 5 pm to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ross County Bank c/o of Brigitte Puckett to assist with funeral expenses.
