Briscoe Baldwin Lang III

Briscoe Baldwin Lang III, 34, of West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Born in Providence, he was the son of Grace (Laramee) Lang and the late Briscoe Baldwin Lang Jr. He leaves behind a brother, Benjamin Michael Lang, and a sister, Sarah Grace Maguire, her husband Joshua David, and a nephew, Logan Maguire Morin. Briscoe was the beloved grandson of Paula Laramee and the late Roger Laramee, as well as the late Briscoe Sr. and Marilyn Lang. He leaves behind many aunts and uncles including Michael and Denise Laramee, Dr. Christopher and Lisa Herzig, Andrew and Mary Laramee, Susan Lang, and Fred Lang and many cousins who loved him very much. He also leaves behind his adored cat and companion, Jasper.

Briscoe provided technical support for Cloud based platforms for multiple organizations and companies through his employer, Wind River. He had a passion for music that started when he was young, often playing music with his father. Briscoe played many instruments including electric and folk guitar, electric and stand-up bass, piano, clarinet, sitar, harmonica and the drums. His favorite thing to do at the beach house was to play music with his friends and family into the early morning hours. When Briscoe was involved with any project it became a collaborative effort. Cooking together always included lots of YouTube watching and discussions.

After inheriting his father's camera Briscoe started taking pictures of people on the streets of Providence. It gave him joy to give them the pictures and a little money for their time. Briscoe had a love of antiques, specifically dishware, often sending photos to his Memere showing off his latest lidded casserole acquisition. When Briscoe was in the 4th grade, he dragged his parents to a mayoral debate and since that time had a deep love of politics. Known for his generous spirit, he frequently donated and gave to those in need. He was also a coach and volunteer with Special Olympics, where he shared his time and compassion with others.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm, followed by a Chapel Service at 1:00 pm, in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Community Care Alliance, Woonsocket.
