Britney Ann Morrison

 

Britney Ann Morrison, 40, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at her residence in Lumberton.

Britney was born on September 6, 1983, to Kelly Ann Freeman Corley and Gerald Craig Corley.  She graduated from Nederland High School in 2002 and later graduated from Lamar Institute of Technology with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2006.  Britney worked with her husband and love of her life, Justin Morrison at their dental office, Justin L. Morrison D.D.S., and did just about everything there.  She was office manager, dental hygienist and kept everything organized and running smoothly.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, decorating especially for Christmas which was her favorite Holiday as her family would explain, “it was a day made for her especially”.  Britney was a mother of three young boys who she loved dearly and organized everything for them and participated in all their activities such as baseball and hunting and fishing.  When Britney said she was going to take care of something, she did and everyone let her because they knew she would take care of it.  She was not only the Mom for her boys but Britney was everyone’s Mom in some way or another.  Britney was a caring, loving and vivacious person who organized everything in her life especially for the ones she loved because that’s how she gave love; she wanted to make it special for them and give them a lasting memory. 

Survivors include her husband, co-worker and love of her life, Justin Morrison of Lumberton; her children, Hunter, Tucker and Tyler all of Lumberton; her father, Gerald Craig Corley and his wife Janie of Kirbyville; brother, Brandon Corley and his wife Sarah of Conroe; step-brother, Tad Smith and his wife Lindsay of Nederland; her grandfather, Jerry Nicholson of Nederland; grandmother, Noreen Freeman of Lumberton; father-in-law, Jerry Morrison of Lumberton; sister-in-law,  Jana Zant and husband Casey of Nederland; nieces and nephews: Blakely Corley, Riley Smith, and Cooper and Carter Zant; uncle and aunt, Gregg and Kim Nicholson, aunt, Leslie Watts-Welch and husband Terry, aunt Tammy Huff and husband Michael. and many other family members and friends who all loved her dearly. 

Britney is preceded in death by her mother, Kelly Ann Freeman; grandmother, Yvonne Nicholson and her grandfather, Belton “Scooter” Freeman, Jr., and mother-in-law Judy Morrison.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland.  A Chapel Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Drake, Drew Wallace, Jon Andrews, Shawn Mercer, Danny Hood and Terry Welch. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gunnar Nicholson, Colt Nicholson, Brint Powell, Olin Clotiaux, Denver Williams and Joseph Rooney.

Justin, Hunter, Tucker, Tyler, and all of Britney’s family would like to thank and send their love to everyone who has given and offered their support during this difficult time.  Without knowing how to put it into words, we would also like to send our love to the special ladies (and their families), you know who you are, that have been part of our family for many years, and will be for eternity.
